No increase in UAE federal fees for next three years

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced on Wednesday that federal fees won’t be increased for the next three years.

He added on his Twitter account that the decision aims at improving economic and social stability, and also supports industry and trade fields, and make them more attractive for foreign investment.

Sheikh Mohammed said: “UAE competitiveness is the main priority for the government, and the next term will witness the launching of many new social-development initiatives, and other initiatives for youth of UAE to make them directly benefit from our journey of development.”

Moreover, he said that during the cabinet meeting, he approved a new national strategy for advanced innovation, which aims at improving the governmental future designs, and creates new economic fields, along with creating other achievements that focus on human welfare.

The new strategy would focus on innovation regarding quality of health, transportation, future techniques, water, environment and space technology development, Sheikh Mohammed said.

“Our target is to change methods of thinking for private and governmental sectors, to create new innovative solution for the future,” he noted.
